OUR STORY

Three girls are tucked into a corner on the top level of the smallest café and bookstore in lower Normandy. As the rain pours over the little town of Caen, these girls sit and talk over pots of Mariage Frères tea, apple crumbles, chocolate cake, and lemon bread. They talk about books, doodle and journal, and discover a shared love of fountain pens.

It was over these pots of tea on those cold afternoons that the Fountain Pen Society was born.

We are those three girls - Ellen, Zoe, and Emily - who met in the halls of the Université de Caen during a semester abroad in 2014. From those halls to the café Memoranda, and now to this corner of the web, we want to keep our friendship alive through books and beautiful things. While we may be headed back to our respective cities and lives, the friendship we forged in France will last for a lot longer.

Learn more about each of us, and join us in our love of tea, books, and beautifully written things.
